Comparison of Transducers Using Different Piezoelectric Ceramic Materials

1.1 Comparison of piezoelectric ceramics:

1.1.1 Yellow wafers are P8 series (classified according to the standards issued by the Ministry of State, the same below) high-power piezoelectric ceramics. They have the advantages of low calorific value, low field loss and good thermal stability. They are generally suitable for high-power ultrasonic emission, such as ultrasonic welding, high-power cleaning, etc.

1.1.2 Black wafers are P4 series piezoelectric ceramics with high dielectric constant and high electromechanical coupling coefficient. They are generally suitable for medium power ultrasonic applications, such as cleaning or transceiver sensors. Compared with the traditional P4 series, the black wafer adopted by our company has the advantages of high thermal stability, high Curie temperature (Tc = 340 C) and high electromechanical quality.

1.2 Comparison of transducers assembled from different materials:

1.2.1 The absolute capacitance of the transducer assembled with yellow wafer is low, and the strong field loss is small. Therefore, compared with the same driving circuit, the transducer has low calorific value and stable driving. The water spray has stable change to the cleaning load and great impact, which belongs to the medium-sized and regular pattern.

The transducer with 1.2.2 black wafer has high electro-mechanical coupling coefficient and Curie temperature, so it has high electro-acoustic conversion efficiency. And it has higher stability and high temperature resistance than other products using general P4 series. The water spray is characterized by high water column and abundant vacuole feel, but it is sensitive to the change of cleaning load.

1.2.3 Use occasion (recommendation): High frequency (such as over 40K) or low power transducer (below 60W) using black wafer assembled transducer, low frequency or high power transducer using yellow wafer assembled transducer.
