40khz/100W Handheld Ultrasonic Plastic Welding Transducer

The ultrasonic vibrator is also called an ultrasonic vibrator. The whole connection between the transducer and the horn is called a vibrator. The piezoelectric effect of piezoelectric ceramics realizes the mutual conversion of electrical energy and mechanical energy (acoustic vibration), and the device is amplified by the acoustic impedance matching front and rear radiation cover blocks.

Since the horn is a passive device, it generates vibration itself, but only changes the amplitude of the input vibration and then transmits it, completing the impedance transformation.

Ultrasonic transducers can generate regular vibrations under electric field excitation, but the amplitude is generally around 10 μm. Such amplitude is not enough to directly complete the welding and processing steps.

Therefore, after the transducer is connected to a properly designed horn, the amplitude of the ultrasonic wave can be varied over a wide range, as long as the material strength is sufficient and the amplitude can exceed 100 μm.
